About recommendations

Recommendations delivered through our assessment are based on the information you provide and the policy terms available at the time of assessment. Assessments are prepared using Vera's AI-assisted methodology and reviewed by a human before delivery. Policy terms, premiums and underwriting criteria change; insurers make their own decisions about applications, coverage and claims. We do not guarantee any insurance outcome.

We take care to keep policy information on this site accurate and current, but we don't control insurer documents, and details may change without notice. Always read the insurer's policy wording before purchasing, it is the legally binding document, not our summaries.

References to insurers or their products are for identification and assessment purposes. They don't imply endorsement by those insurers, or of them by us.

Not veterinary advice

Our assessments describe the health risks common to a breed, and what those conditions typically cost to treat. This is general reference drawn from published breed and market data. It is not a veterinary assessment of your pet, and the costs are typical ranges for the condition, not quotes or estimates for your pet's own care.

We are not a veterinary practice and we do not diagnose. For anything concerning your pet's health, speak to your vet.

Not legal advice

Some assessments refer to legal or licensing requirements. For example, Singapore law requires the owner of a Specified Dog to hold third-party liability insurance, and our report says so and cites the source.

Where we do this, we are reporting a published requirement, not advising on it. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we cannot grant, refuse or interpret a licence. Licensing rules change: confirm the current position with the relevant authority (for dog licensing, the Animal and Veterinary Service at avs.nparks.gov.sg) before you rely on it.

We do not quote premiums

A policy wording does not contain a premium. Premiums are set by the insurer at quote time, for your individual pet, based on its own underwriting. So we do not state or estimate what a policy will cost you. Where cost matters to the decision, we say so and tell you to get a quote. Any premium figure you see anywhere else has not come from us.
