Financial Advisory Disclosure
This page explains who is behind Vera, how our advisory service works, how we're paid, and how we handle conflicts of interest. We publish it because trust in advice depends on knowing exactly how the adviser operates.
1. Who we are
Vera is a brand and trading name, not a separate legal entity.
- The Vera website and platform are operated by Delegate Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201511320E), a company incorporated in Singapore, registered at 22 North Canal Road, #03-01, Singapore 048834.
- Insurance advisory services are provided through Gigacover Pte. Ltd. (UEN 201619282D), in accordance with its applicable regulatory arrangements.
2. Scope of our advice
Our advisory service covers pet insurance policies available in Singapore. Specifically:
- We review the leading pet insurance policies currently available in Singapore. We do not claim to review every policy in the market.
- Our recommendation relates to the suitability of pet insurance for your pet, based on the information you provide.
- We may recommend a specific policy, a different insurer than you expected, or that you not purchase insurance at all.
We do not advise on other insurance classes or other financial products.
What falls outside our advice entirely:
- Veterinary matters. We describe breed risks and typical treatment costs as general reference. We do not diagnose, and nothing in an assessment is veterinary advice.
- Legal matters. Where an assessment reports a legal or licensing requirement (for example, the third-party liability insurance required for Specified Dogs under the Animals and Birds (Licensing and Control of Cats and Dogs) Rules 2024), we cite the published rule. That is reporting, not legal advice. We cannot grant, refuse or interpret a licence, and rules change.
- Premiums. Policy wordings do not contain premiums. We do not quote or estimate them; the insurer sets them at quote time for your individual pet.
3. How recommendations are prepared
- You complete an assessment describing your pet: breed, age, medical history and relevant circumstances.
- We evaluate available policies against a consistent methodology, coverage, exclusions, limits, waiting periods, co-insurance, hereditary and breed-specific terms, and premium sustainability. See How We Make Recommendations. The analysis is AI-assisted: artificial intelligence tools apply our evaluation framework consistently to every assessment.
- Every recommendation is reviewed by a human before delivery.
- You receive a written recommendation with our reasoning.
Your recommendation is prepared before any purchase decision, and it is based on your pet's circumstances and the policy terms available at the time of assessment, not on any commercial arrangement.
4. How we are paid
- You pay Vera a one-time fixed fee for your assessment. This fee is the same regardless of which policy we recommend, and regardless of whether we recommend insuring at all.
- If you choose to proceed with a recommended policy, any remuneration arising in connection with arranging that policy will be disclosed to you before you purchase.
5. Conflicts of interest
Our approach to conflicts:
- The advisory fee is fixed and paid up front, so our revenue from the assessment does not depend on whether you buy, or what you buy.
- Recommendations are generated by our methodology and reviewed for consistency. Commercial arrangements do not change a recommendation.
- Where any commercial relationship exists with an insurer whose policy we recommend, we disclose it.

6. Important limits of our advice
- The insurer decides whether to accept your application, on what terms and at what premium. We cannot bind an insurer.
- Recommendations reflect policy terms available at the time of assessment; insurers may change terms at any time.
- Always read the insurer's policy wording before purchasing.
